Top Alpacas for Sale
SRS® is an Alpaca Breeding System that aims to improve the commercial value of fleece and animals. It does this by identifying those animals with superior genetics for density and length traits. Higher density and length produces larger quantities of fleece.
Those participating in SRS®, have a focus on the breeding a genetics pool of measurably superior commercial animals from which seedstock may be offered to other breeders with a similar focus.
SRS® Alpacas International provides an opportunity for subscribers to sell alpaca classed as suitable for use in an SRS® Breeding Program. These alpaca will have been inspected by an accredited SRS® Breeding Advisor and in some cases will have been skin tested to determine their density and length profiles.
Sales Policy:
- All alpacas sold through SRSAI will hold a numbered passport
- The passport details the skin test or fleece screening results as well as the SRS® classing results
- The price advertised through SRSAI for alpacas will include a commission paid to SRSAI and / or (if sold through an overseas agent)
- All negotiations on the price of alpacas will be through the administration of SRSAI
